Our mission is simple: to provide you with no-nonsense, healthy meals that are affordable. We are on your team. We will never sell you on fads or gimmicks that aren't based on real science.
One of the MOST important things to know about Midwest Meals is our WHY. More important than what we do is why we do it. This is what drives all of our decisions and how we operate. This why can be boiled down to a simple statement: We exist to fight obesity. The obesity rates in the US is staggering and we exist to help you develop a healthy long term relationship with food that allows you to control your body composition and live a healthy life.
We believe in responsible supply management and reducing food waste. We do everything in our power to ensure the minimal amount of food waste. We use a "just in time" system to ensure we don't have food going bad from week to week. Although we use plastic meal containers at this time, we reduce waste in every way possible and encourage recycling. We are always looking for ways to be more eco-friendly.
Fundamentally, we want to eradicate obesity in the US. With fad diets promoting a quick-fix, our psychological relationship with food has been messed up for some time. We want to help re-create a healthy relationship with food that encourages flexibility and longevity. We donate any leftover meals from our storefronts to low-income families in our community.
