Understanding Our Nutrition Labels

Understanding Our Nutrition Labels

If you've tried our meals, you may have noticed that on the side is a nutrition label. But, if you don't know how to understand it, it's pointless! So, let's dig into the basics of our nutrition label and what each number means.

The first thing you'll notice is the name of the meal. Underneath the name lists the three major macros with the portion size of the meal. If you're new to macros, check out our blog that explains them!

Our meals come in two different portions. These portions are labeled as "REG" or "DBL". These abbreviations stand for a regular or double portion of protein. The regular portion consists of 3 or 4 ounces of meat depending on the protein source and the double consists of 6 to 8 ounces of meat.

Once you've figured out your portion size, the macros are next. To figure out what macros you should be hitting daily, our Macro Calculator is a great tool! Your macros are what make up your daily food intake. So, if you are tracking your meals, our labels will help you reach those goals!

Underneath the macros, you will find the calorie content of the meal, fiber, sugar, heating instructions, and the freeze by date! On the bottom of each meal, you will also find an ingredient label. So, if you have any allergies or want to avoid a specific ingredient, this will help!

We make sure that each meal has proper labeling so all you have to do is heat it up and enjoy. If you have any questions about ingredients or macros at all, be sure to ask when you stop into our storefront!
